Workshops In Cooperation With CzechInvest

Together with the CzechInvest agency and the Technology Incubation project, which long-term supports the gaming industry in Czechia, we organize educational workshops on various topics. With Jaroslav Menčík from Maverick Legal we will dive into GameDev Legal clinic and will discuss legal aspects of gaming business. The specifics of marketing and PR in gaming will be explained to us by Petr Poláček from INGAME Studio in a session called Your grandma is marketing!

Jaroslav is the head of video game practice at MAVERICKS law firm based in Prague. He regularly advises game studios, indie developers, publishers and investors on publishing & investment deals, intellectual property issues, licensing and protection of brand. Jaroslav regularly lectures on video game law at conferences and universities.

About Speaker

A video game nomad based in Prague, with my mind all over the world and my heart and hands in Bratislava and Brno (Ingame Studios). I've been writing about games for magazines and websites for a quarter of a century, helping to build platforms for Seznam, Burda, and Tiscali. Together with my colleagues, we create LEVEL magazine. For nearly two decades, I've also been involved in game development in various roles—from community management to marketing, publishing, bizdev, design, and QA.

Honza has been working in the media since 2017. He started out as a social media editor at Aktuálně.cz, and later hosted the online show Asociál, which focused on digital technologies, gaming and social networks. For Hospodářské noviny he prepared the business podcasts Ranní brífink and Poprvé. Since April 2022, he has been working at CNN Prima News, where he writes about video games or technology and also hosts and produces the TV show Enter.
